THE "MEET CUTE"

07.26.18

A few weeks after "matching" we met in-person for drinks. Hours of great conversation went by in a flash before Brennan admitted he had an early morning flight and was leaving town to visit family for over a WEEK! Madison was cautious, but Brennan reached out daily while he was away. From that moment on we were taken with one another.

THE PANDEMIC PROPOSAL

05.23.20

The plan was set December 2019, I arranged for both our families to surprise Madison at Lake of The Ozarks (her favorite place) over Memorial Day weekend in 2020. By February of 2020 the ring was designed and created in St. Louis. However, I did not foresee a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. When quarantine started I was worried I wouldn't even have the ring for Memorial Day. Thankfully, Madison's mom was able to arrange a pick up. Even though my family could no longer make the journey, I was determined to stick with the plan. The morning of May 23rd, 2020 I took a nice long walk to calm myself. After briefly panicking that I had somehow forgotten Madison's middle name (I had not - it's Elizabeth), I composed myself and arrived back at the house. Everyone was outside on the deck for breakfast, except Madison. SHE WAS STILL ASLEEP! We didn't realize she decided we had no plans on this day and was sleeping in. Finally she got up and ate breakfast, visibly uncomfortable as we all remained at the table staring at her. I 'romantically' proclaimed (in a strong conference room tone): "Now that I have you all here..." and proceeded to ask Madison to marry me. She was completely taken aback and through tears squeaked out "well yeah!" It was chaotic and even after months of planning and re-planning because of the pandemic I could not have imagined it going better. I was and continue to be so lucky to be marrying her.

THE WEDDING

07.30.22

The Bell Tower Nashville, Tennessee Originally a historic church dating back to 1874 (Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church), it was the first built in Nashville by freed slaves after the Civil War. Most of the neighborhood was demolished following World War II, but The Bell Tower is one of the last structures from that time that remains. We've been VERY patient and are thrilled to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in Nashville! PLEASE NOTE: In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult-only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day! A huge THANK YOU to Infinity Hospitality for their immeasurable help planning our big day! Shout out to our awesome event designers: Kalyn Newport, Haley Claytor & Team!
