Wedding Party

Marissa Ball

Maid of Honor

Marissa is my (identical? maybe?) twin sister. We grew up together and always shared everything from birthdays to our first car. We both sold pigs through FFA, and cheered throughout school. Starting as seniors in high school, we worked at Dutch Bros as “Broistas” before quitting to pursue jobs in our career fields as we got further into college. Recently, we enjoy exploring beaches and chatting on the phone between classes. Marissa graduated from Centralia College with her RN in March. Marissa is recently married and looks forward to starting her job as an ER Nurse in July.

Claire Skaggs

Bridesmaid

I met Claire at Saint Martin’s University in 2022 as a freshmen. I sat in the front of our calculus class first semester so she got to know the back of my head and my incessant flow of questions before we learned each other’s names during second semester. That summer, we worked as astrophysics research interns and quickly became friends. From there, we have pretty much made every career move together. In the summer of 2024 and 2025, we both interned as nuclear engineers at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, and we will both start working there full time in the summer of 2026. Claire and I share a love of traveling, we enjoyed a short study abroad trip in China last summer, and our positions at the shipyard will send us to different parts of the world. Claire and I are 2 of 3 women that graduated with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from SMU in May 2026.

Alexis Fetters

Bridesmaid

Lexi Fetters, (most of you know her as Lexi Ball), is my older sister, the oldest of 4 siblings. I looked up to Lexi in high school as we enjoyed FFA and selling livestock at the local fair together, and I ended up following in her footsteps taking running start classes and various leadership roles. Lexi enjoys dilly dallying and being the calmest (maybe the only calm) woman in the family. Lexi got married in June of 2021 during the hottest heat streak ever recorded in western WA. Hoping to play Cupid, she organized the ceremony to where I would be walking with Colton in the wedding party. Clearly, I saw past his sweat stained suit jacket, and we will be walking down the aisle of our own. Lexi had her first child, Archie, in March 2025, bringing so much joy to the entire family. Lexi will continue to grow her family and be a great mom, wife, and sister.

Sarah Ball

Bridesmaid

Sarah is the youngest of my three sisters, by 7 years. That never stopped us from being friends. She is the coolest of us four (don’t tell her I said that). She takes on after me in the way that she is a little bit of a nerd. She is the last one at home with my parents so she had to put up with Marissa’s BS alone up until April of this year. Sarah will be starting high school in the fall, participating in cross country, track and field, and continuing her FFA career. Sarah is becoming an incredible young woman and I am excited to see where the next few years take her.

Stevie Johnston

Bridesmaid

Stevie and I met in 6th grade at Toledo Middle School. I would be lying if I said we got along, it wasn’t until we happened to attend the same college that we became good friends. We weren’t the nicest to each other in high school, but only knowing each other as scared freshmen starting at SMU made it easy for us to become close. I convinced her to move in with me second semester of freshman year. We struggled through calculus and physics homework but spent more time laughing at each other’s weird jokes and eating way too many sweets. We no longer have classes together and are no longer roommates but enjoy “family dinners” every Wednesday. We also traveled to Ireland in December to visit our other ex-roommate while she was studying abroad. Stevie is the strongest person I know, and I look forward to seeing her grow as a first year science teacher this fall.

Bryelle Reed

Bridesmaid

Bryelle has seen me at my highest and lowest, and she has never hesitated to provide unwavering support and love, even when I don’t deserve it. Bryelle and I became friends after I made the varsity cheer team sophomore year of high school. She was the cheer captain and she took Marissa and I under her wing. She put up with a lot of BS from us, and she was actually the cheer coach even though she was not yet graduated. Bryelle has been the fifth sister in my family for years. Our group went from Dutch Bros runs after cheer practice everyday to holding each others babies. Bryelle is the only friend I left high school with and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Bryelle will continue being an amazing teacher to her 3rd graders and a loving mom to her 1 year old son, Cory.

Jared Winters

Best Man

Jared is my younger brother and has been a constant presence in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we were practically inseparable, doing virtually everything together. He has always been an incredible athlete, possessing a competitive drive that led him to play on the older kids’ sports teams just so he could be on the same field as me. Our childhood was defined by the outdoors; we spent nearly every weekend camping, hiking, and exploring. Some of my favorite memories involve us hanging out on the beaches of Lake Roosevelt, staying out until the sun went down. Having him stand by me as I get married feels like the natural progression of a lifetime spent side-by-side, and I couldn't ask for a better brother to be my Best Man.

Martin Monroy

Groomsman

While I haven’t known Martin quite as long as the others, the sheer amount of time we’ve spent together makes him feel like a lifelong friend. Martin is married to Brayden’s sister, Sydney, and together they have two beautiful kids who I’ve been lucky enough to see grow. Martin helped me make some really important decisions early on regarding my degree and work; but our bond really took off when I moved in with them in Bremerton at the start of my career. They were the ones who pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and embrace traveling for work, a decision that changed my life. Since then, we’ve moved across the world to Japan together and spent over a year side-by-side in San Diego. Martin has become one of my closest friends and a true brother over the years; I sincerely couldn’t imagine this life without him.

Ethan Worden

Groomsman

Ethan and I met in elementary school and quickly bonded with a friendship based on nerdy things and sports. We spent over a decade as teammates, including long weekend trips to Moses Lake for tournaments and endless hours in the dugout. In high school, we made the collective decision to switch from the football field to the golf course. On the weekends when we weren’t hitting balls, we spent a lot of time playing video games or getting into mischief at our friend Chase’s house. Ethan and I even ended up going to the same university together, both earning our majors in the fields we talked about for so many years. Ethan visited me in San Diego last year to play as many rounds of golf as possible, which was just a reminder of how much fun we’ve had over the years.

Marcus Ashton

Groomsman

Marcus and I go all the way back to daycare. Although we briefly lost touch during elementary school, we rekindled our friendship in high school and haven't looked back since. We have spent countless hours in the shop working on trucks or heading into the mountains to hunt, fish, and camp. Some of our best nights have been spent simply sitting around a fire in the woods. One of the highlights of our friendship was our time on the high school golf team. While we were technically there to play, we usually spent more time aiming our shots at the ducks in the pond than actually trying to lower our scores. Marcus has been there through every phase of my life, and I’m stoked to have him there to help me celebrate this next big step.

Brayden Norquist

Groomsman

Brayden has been my best friend since my very first memories. He is the kind of person who shows up with a toolbox in one hand and a beer in the other the second he hears I’m working on a rig—helping people is just what he does. His passion for old cars led him to a career as a diesel technician, but when he’s not wrenching, he’s the first person I call to plan an adventure. Whether it’s spending summers at the cabin, learning new water sports, or camping on beaches, Brayden is always there. Our friendship has taken us across the globe, from visiting me in San Diego more times than I can count to traveling all the way to Japan to see me. He has been part of every major chapter of my life, and I’m honored to have him here for this one.

Masun Slape

Groomsman

Masun and I have known each other for what feels like forever. Like the rest of our friend group, we share a similar connection to the mountains. Masun has dedicated his career to the outdoors, working as both a wildlife biologist and a wildlife officer—further proving his love for the outdoors. We have done everything from quick one-night trips to cold and miserable week-long fishing trips together. Through it all, he is always down to grab a beer and sit by the fire to swap stories. We’ve spent hundreds of hours hunting and fishing over the years, and those moments in the wilderness are where our friendship truly solidified. I’m proud to have someone as reliable and adventurous as Masun in my wedding party.
