It was the summer of 2021. Zack was working as an insurance agent in Madison, Mississippi and Macy was competing in her final year of Miss Mississippi and preparing to begin law school at Mississippi College...neither looking for a relationship. But, Zack's co-worker, Dusty, and Macy's cousin, Jamie, had different plans. All summer, the two were planning to set Zack and Macy up when Macy started law school in August. Dusty spent the summer showing Zack pictures of Macy and telling him all about her. Jamie texted Macy and told her all about this great mystery guy, never telling Macy his name or sending her his picture. But Macy wasn't interested, anyway. After all, she was beginning law school soon. Weeks go by and Macy moves to Jackson to start law school. One night, Macy and a few friends go to Fondren Public in Jackson to mingle with new classmates. Across the room, Macy notices Mr. Tall, Dark, & Handsome and a few of his friends. Macy says something to her friends, but never in a million years would she approach him. Her friends say, "I think he's looking at you." She says, "He's probably looking at someone else!" Then, a friend of Tall, Dark, & Handsome sits down at their table. Immediately Macy thinks, "Where's the other one?" Then, Tall, Dark & Handsome sits down and asks, "Are you Jamie's cousin?" Confused, Macy says, "What?" Tall, Dark, & Handsome says, "You're Jamie's cousin, right?" Realizing what just happened, Macy says, "Wait, you're that guy she's been trying to set me up with?" He says, "Yeah, I'm Zack." Right outside Fondren Public is a coffee shop, Cups. Macy and Zack spent the rest of their night out sitting in patio chairs at Cups talking. A few days go by and Zack asks Macy on a date. Macy reluctantly says yes, knowing law school will occupy most of her time. The two meet for lunch at The Manship after Macy's Contract Law class. Macy explains to Zack that she really just wants to be friends because she has to focus on law school. Zack looks at Macy and says, "We're not going to be friends." Four years, a career change, law school, and years of long distance dating, Macy & Zack cannot wait to celebrate their marriage with you on November 22, 2025!
