Talbot and I met the old fashioned way - out at a bar. We met through mutual friends, and bonded over our names being aligned with women's department stores. We talked jobs, family, passions and interests... and then he left. BUT luckily, our paths ended up crossing again and he wasn't going to let me get away a second time. He asked for my number and now here we are nearly eight years later, about to say I do.

Being in the F&B world, it was hard to find a restaurant I hadn't tried - yet Talbot did just that. In picking our first date, he made a reservation at the (since closed) Americano at The Joule, and I suggested drinks before. He let me order bone marrow as an appetizer and I knew then that he was a keeper—it wasn't short after that order that we had our first kiss, and the rest is history!

Talbot asked me to marry him at a beautiful park in Highland Park on a sunny Friday before what I believed was a birthday dinner. After some subtle hints (get your nails done, cough cough), he stopped by the park and proposed near the water where I tearily said yes. We then took some photos—which you'll see throughout this website—before heading to a delicious dinner at Al Biernat's. We finished the night with a bottle of Dom Perignon and some Frank Sinatra, and daydreamed about what the rest of our life will look like together. It was the perfect date. ;-) We can't wait to celebrate our love with you all!
