COVID-19

We are taking strict precautions due to COVID-19 to ensure a safe wedding day for our family and friends in attendance. As currently required by the state, masks must be worn upon entering the church and the Ritz. Per the state of Ohio, tables will be distanced appropriately and food and beverage will be served according to current state mandates. We respectfully ask our guests to follow all CDC COVID-19 guidelines prior to attending. If you feel sick, please stay home.

Change The Date

Save our NEW date! For the wedding of Macy Elizabeth Clayton & Mitchell Lee Mikoletic Please note our date has changed due to the uncertainty of the times. For the benefit, health and safety of our family and friends, we have decided to celebrate our Church Ceremony and Wedding Reception on May 22, 2021. A formal invitation will follow next spring. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during these crazy times. To prevent the spread of Covid-19, we have decided the best option for everyone would be to move our big celebration to next year. As you can imagine we are heartbroken. However, we will still move forward with our vows on May 23, 2020 in a private and intimate ceremony with our families. On behalf of our families, Mitch and myself, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We wish you all the best, we pray that you stay healthy and we cannot wait to see and celebrate with you next year!!! Love, Macy & Mitch

How We Met

Our story began on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Our dear friends Ashley and Jason Metze set us up on our first date. Macy and Ashley attended high school together where they both cheered on the Bulldogs. After high school, they fell out of touch for some time, until they randomly ran into each other at the mall and reconnected. Mitch and Jason attended Ashland University where they were in the same fraternity and lived together in Kentucky after college. Ashley and Jason had just moved to Cleveland and were hanging out with their friends in the area, Mitch being one of them, when they realized that we would be the perfect match. We went on our first date and have been together ever since!

The Proposal

The weekend before Christmas, Macy and Mitch decided to have a last minute get together with the entire family. There wasn't even a full day to plan the first Christmas dinner they were having in their new home. It was a chaotic few hours of getting the food and drinks, shopping, cleaning, and decorating the house. Mitch mysteriously insisted that he would go alone to pick up all of the food in preparation for everyone coming over. Macy could not understand why he didn’t want any help, since it would be easier to have two sets of hands to carry things. Regardless, she let him go alone and got ready. They managed to pull everything together just minutes before their families arrived. As everyone gathered in the living room, Mitch raised his glass to toast the first Christmas dinner in their new home and the first time both of their families were all together. At the end of the toast, Mitch dropped down on one knee and proposed to Macy, with the ring he had picked up in secret, that day! The whole day made for a very Marry Christmas!
