It all began thanks to mutual friends. Although they attended different schools until high school, fate brought Evan and Macy together one rainy long weekend at the cabin. Instead of sunshine, the weekend was filled with endless games of Monopoly — the perfect setting to truly get to know one another. Not long after, Macy began showing up at Evan’s hockey games, telling people she was there to support her cousin, who just happened to be on the same team. After nearly three months of friendship, Evan asked Macy out on December 16, 2016 — the beginning of forever, even if they didn’t know it at the time. Their love has always been a "feels like home" kind of love, full of laughter, memories, and adventure. From sitting side by side in high school biology, to navigating university, and now beginning their careers together, they’ve grown up and grown stronger through every season. They've explored several Hawaiian islands, spent countless summer days in Osoyoos, and recently celebrated the milestone of purchasing their first home. On December 13, 2024, Evan proposed, and Macy said yes. Now, they are beyond excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife and to see what married life holds for them.
