Joe and I met at the Mowgli’s concert in Philadelphia very randomly after Joe’s sister, Kristin, and I planned to meet up that night. Kristin and I knew each other from college where we were both studying Respiratory Therapy. A few weeks later, Joe and Kristin talked me into selling my Philly Twenty One Pilots tickets to go see them play in NYC on my 22nd birthday. We ended up going to the concert and I messaged Joe on Twitter the next day, and the rest is history.
In April, Joe and I planned a bucket-list trip to Utah and Arizona to hike some of the National parks to commemorate his 30th birthday. Our first day there was the day we planned to go to Zion National Park. At the top of our hike, Joe asked this guy (the only other person at the top) to take a picture of us. I was standing there smiling for the picture and Joe turned to me and asked, “will you love me forever?”. I said “of course” and turned back to the camera trying to get the picture taken so we could make our descent. He ended up pulling out the ring and got down on one knee and didn’t even ask the question before I said yes!
Joe and I have been trying to have this wedding now since April of 2019. We were postponed twice due to Covid; although we did manage to have a small ceremony on 12/26/2020 with about 25 people. While we waited for 2022 to come, we welcomed our son on 10/14/2021. A boy, named Joseph Jameson. We have been very busy over the last few years!
