Question

What is the Pittsburgh Cookie Table?

Answer

A Pittsburgh cookie table is a beloved wedding tradition, primarily in Western Pennsylvania, where families and friends bake hundreds, or thousands, of homemade cookies for a massive, guest-accessible display. It acts as a massive community-baked dessert buffet, often alongside the wedding cake, honoring family traditions and acting as a gesture of love for the newlyweds We kindly ask all our guests to bring cookies for everyone to enjoy! We encourage cookies of all shapes, sizes, and flavors, with clear labels for those with allergies! There will be boxes left at the dessert table so you can take home cookies and sweets to enjoy later! When you arrive, someone will meet with you to retrieve the cookies so you may find your seat for the ceremony. Common Questions Do I have to bring cookies? Not at all! There’s absolutely no obligation. We’re just happy you’re here to celebrate with us. How many should I bring? If you’d like to contribute, about 1–2 dozen cookies is perfect. What kinds of cookies can I bring? Anything you love! Family recipes, classics, or your personal favorites. Do I need to label them? Yes, please. Especially if they contain nuts or common allergens. When and where do I drop them off? When you arrive to the property, please bring your cookies with you. Someone will greet you and retrieve them! Can I take cookies home? Absolutely! Guests are encouraged to fill a box and enjoy them later! We do not want to leave with any goodies, so we please ask quests to bring home whatever they like! Why is this a tradition? It’s a Pittsburgh tradition rooted in community and generosity, where loved ones help create something special together.

Question

Can I leave my car overnight?

Answer
