We’re getting married!!

Our story began in Cullman—Mackenzie’s hometown—though we came from two different places, with Mackenzie in Arab and Maeghan in Boaz. Through mutual friends, we were convinced to add each other on Snapchat, and before long, that turned into our first date. Mackenzie made the first move, and from that moment on, everything changed. Like many real love stories, we had a brief time apart—but it only helped us grow and come back stronger, learning what it means to love each other in a healthy way. On New Year’s Eve, Maeghan asked for Mackenzie’s dad’s blessing, and the very next day, she created a moment we’ll never forget. We kept it simple—ordering Domino’s with a pepperoni and cheese pizza and a marble brownie cookie. Brownies are Mackenzie’s favorite, cookies are Maeghan’s, so it just made sense. When it came time for dessert, Maeghan cut a piece of the brownie cookie, placed the ring on top, and asked for Mackenzie’s hand—not just to love her, but to love her boys and build the life we’ve always dreamed of together. From an unexpected beginning, through growth and finding our way back, to a forever kind of love—our story is simple, real, and completely ours.
