Flying into BWI? Visit Katie’s Hometown — Annapolis Just a short drive from the airport, Annapolis is the capital of Maryland and full of charm. Head downtown to shop local boutiques, stroll the historic cobblestone streets, book a sailing trip on the Chesapeake Bay, or sit down for some classic Maryland crabs or crab cakes. Crab cakes and football — that’s what Maryland does!
A charming waterfront stop on the way to the venue, perfect for a relaxed afternoon or sunset evening, walk the boardwalk, browse local shops, explore the Calvert Marine Museum, or charter a boat and head out fishing.

Whether you’ve been a resident of St. Mary’s County, a student at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, part of the military or a Navy Base employee, or just a visitor, you probably know The Green Door. Pier450 is a laid-back waterfront spot at Maryland’s southernmost point (5 min from Woodlawn!!), with a great restaurant, a thoughtfully designed motel, and a fun boutique, all offering beautiful sunset views over the water.
Located on the Potomac River in Ridge, Maryland, the restaurant has great water views and sits inside Point Lookout Marina, making it easy to arrive by boat. Bonus—it’s also just 5 minutes from Woodlawn.
