Mehndi, otherwise known as henna, is a paste associated with positive spirits and good luck. At the Mehndi ceremony, the bride has her arms covered in henna designs as a way of wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage. All guests can receive henna at a mehndi party! Sangeet is a pre-wedding ceremony involving lots of festive dancing and celebratory songs performed by friends and family.
