Back in 2004, Maclaine started pining for Travis's affections. The cute, baseball playing class clown had caught her eye in a serious way. But despite her coy flirtations, he did not ask her to accompany him to the 8th grade banquet. Frankly, she was crushed. He had no idea (but Maclaine is sure she did). Throughout high school Travis and Maclaine maintained a steady friendship. Over the years they shared classes together and Maclaine went to her fair share of baseball games to watch the stud that was Travis Green. (One time Travis told Maclaine he'd hit a home run for her if she'd go watch him. She showed up and sure enough, he DID! ...sadly he also told 3 other girls the same thing for the same game!) Right before leaving for college in 2010, Travis and Maclaine hung out one last time. Still just good friends, they couldn't have known where they'd be seven years later. *Fast forward seven years and plenty of intermittent Facebook Message correspondence* It was late winter of 2016 & Maclaine saw that the Green family was in Los Angeles to watch his little sister dance in the Rose Bowl Parade. Seeing he was still as cute as ever, she reached out on Instagram and gave unwarranted advice on places to visit in her college town. From there, they seemed to pick up where they'd left off, catching up on old times and finding the same rapport they'd had years ago. A few weeks later, they met up at Roanoke's Twisted Root. A couple burgers and a few hours later, & the rest is history. As a testament to the Lord's goodness & perfect timing, they've been together ever since.
