FAQs

The Wedding Website of Mackenzie Perpich and Joshua Grisetti
You have questions. We have answers.
Question

When should we book our flights and hotel?

Answer

To avoid lack of vacancies, we recommend making travel arrangements ASAP!

Question

Is there an "official" wedding hotel?

Answer

Yes. For more info, check out the Travel page.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes. If you need a new passport, give yourself at least 2 months in advance to allow time for processing.

Question

Can we bring the kids?

Answer

Yes! Just let us know when you RSVP, so we have the right head count to give the venue.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dressy-casual; and something you'll be comfortable wearing on a beach. (Choose your footwear wisely!)

Question

What will the weather be like in February?

Answer

The average temperature in Playa del Carmen in February is 82 degrees, with a nighttime low of 69. February is considered the "dry season" for this area, raining approximately 2 days per month.

Question

Any safety tips for traveling to Mexico?

Answer

According to the U.S. Travel Advisory, Playa del Carmen is entirely safe. Nevertheless, as with any city, common sense often dictates safety: Stay within the tourist districts/beachfront areas. Stay away from desolate areas. Only use ATMs in banks or grocery stores. Only drink bottled water (including ice). And wear sunscreen!

Question

Can I use U.S. dollars or do I need pesos?

Answer

The vast majority of stores and venders will take U.S. cash and/or credit cards. You do not need pesos. (You may want to advise your credit card company that you will be traveling in advance.)

Question

How long should we plan to stay?

Answer

That's entirely up to you – visit Cancun, Cozumel or Tulum before or after the wedding for an extended vacation, hop a flight deeper into South America, or just pop in for the wedding itself! Josh and Mackenzie will likely be in Playa del Carmen beginning on Jan 29. Whatever your plans are, be sure to let us know!

Question

Is Mackenzie the most beautiful bride in the history of civilization?

Answer

Yes. In fact, there are some scholars who believe she may be immortal, having gone by various names throughout history including Helen of Troy, Cleopatra, Guinevere and even Juliet. More research is being done in this field. (Disclaimer: Josh was put in charge of this FAQ.)
