Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Let’s get fancy! (But also smart) “Summer fancy”; think cute jumpers or sundresses for the ladies and slacks with button downs for the gentlemen - please, no jeans or shorts. However, keep in mind that it is an entirely outdoor venue!

Question

Kid friendly?

Answer

We are so excited to share this evening with all of you - including the kiddos! This is a kid friendly event (there’s even a play set on site!) but do know that we are next to a small lake so please, keep an eye on your loved ones.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 on the evening of Saturday, August 14th. If you are planning on staying at the venue with us, you are more than welcome to start setting up by 3:30 PM . We will open the entire venue to all guest access at 4 PM.

Question

Should I bring my ID?

Answer

It’s probably a good idea. Better safe than sorry! We will have an open bar, HOWEVER, it is beer and wine only and there will (unfortunately) not be an option to buy cocktails (it will just be beer and wine). If you want to tip your bartender, cash would also be something nice to add to your wedding check list!

Question

What if I have a food allergy?

Answer

Just let us know when you RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate accordingly!

Question

Parking?

Answer

There will be designated parking, with signs, at the entrance of the venue.

Question

Places to stay?

Answer

We noted a few hotels on the travel page BUT the real party will be at the venue! We have 15 acres to play with so everyone is more than welcome to stay and camp with us the night of the wedding at the venue. Car camping, tent camping, we can even accommodate RV camping!

Question

Where do we camp?

Answer

We will have a designated camping area clearly noted at the entrance of the venue. If you are planning on camping (tent, car, RV, whatever!) please let us know when you RSVP. * Please note: camping guests have the option to come to the venue to set up prior to the ceremony, starting at 3:30 PM on Saturday. Editors Note- when we say "camping" we really mean you are welcome to pitch a tent or park an RV in the extended grassy area. Be safe. Don't drink and drive!

Question

If I set up camp, is there a place at the venue to change prior to the ceremony?

Answer

If you plan to change into your formal atire after setting up your tent or RV, please plan on changing in the camping area - we will not be opening rest of the venue until 4 PM. There will be a porta-potty in the camping area that you are welcome to use before, during and after the wedding!

Question

Are masks required?

Answer

Masks will not be required at our venue. Hawk Lake is a 15 acre venue that is 100% outside, however, we want to respect everyone’s personal decision on whether or not they want to mask up! Please do what makes you feel the most comfortable.
