Travel Note
Border Crossing Tips from Southern California to Mexico For those driving from Southern California, we recommend using an SUV or a vehicle that handles well on dirt roads for a more comfortable ride. The easiest and most direct route into Mexico is through the Tecate border crossing. It’s a small, western-style town with just a couple of turns before you’re on a straight path to Valle de Guadalupe. On the way back to the U.S.: If you have Global Entry, we recommend using the Tijuana SENTRI Lane. It lets you bypass most of the traffic. Just make sure your vehicle is properly registered to your account. If you don’t have Global Entry, Tecate is your best option for a smoother return. A few important reminders: Avoid driving through Tijuana at night. Sunday afternoons tend to be the busiest time to cross, so plan accordingly. Google maps is very efficient in these areas. Please rely on phones for direct travel routes. Safe travels and enjoy the trip!
Flight
You can fly into Tijuana and rent a car or you can fly into any of the southern California airports and rent a car. Again, we recommend the Tecate crossing when driving to the venue.
