We met on the very first day of 9th grade and soon became good friends. We spent Valentine's Day together (as just friends), went to movies and attended our junior year homecoming together- it didn't go very well.

In February of 2015, during our senior year of high school and after a few months of "talking", Mackenzy finally asked Anthony, "Are you ever going to ask me to be your girlfriend?" It worked.

In the fall of 2015, we headed to the University of Iowa. We both lived in Burge Hall and somehow lived across the hall from each other (what are the odds?) We spent our 4 years at Iowa cheering on the Hawkeyes in the stands and on the field, working at Daily Iowan TV and spending a semester working at Disney World together.

After 5 years of dating, Anthony finally asked Mackenzy to marry him. She said yes and the rest is history. We are so excited to begin our lives together!
