We’re getting married!

It was during The University of Tennessee’s homecoming. Mackenzie’s sorority and Zac’s fraternity teamed up together for the week activities. One evening Zac was sitting alone helping prepare the float and Mackenzie found her way to a seat next to him. Next sparked a three hour conversation about fly fishing and the Smoky Mountains. Many nights of studying and getting to know each other's very similar personalities naturally lead to dating in the Fall of 2017.

Our first date was a road trip to Townsend, Tennessee, just about an hour east of Knoxville right in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. We spent the day hiking up the windy trails, going to one of Zac's favorite fishing spots, and appreciating nature together.

Mackenzie had planned to get professional pictures taken of her and Zac in the ever-famous Aspen trees by Golden, Colorado. Zac took the opportunity to make this day and photos special forever. He had kept the ring in his front pocket for the first hour of pictures, eagerly waiting for the perfect moment. Mackenzie had no idea and was completely blown away!
