William and Mackenzie’s story began at Florida State University, when William started medical school and Mackenzie was finishing her undergraduate degree. From the moment they met, they quickly became inseparable. Their ideals of a family and friend centered life grounded their relationship immediately. What started as a simple connection grew into a deep friendship and a love that has continued to grow ever since. Over the years, they have loved building a life together and spending time with both of their families, often splitting their time between Florida and Alabama. On New Year’s Eve in Orlando at The Ritz-Carlton, William surprised Mackenzie with a walk through the garden where he asked her to marry him. Waiting just around the corner were both of their families, ready to celebrate the moment and ring in the new year together. Today, William and Mackenzie live in Birmingham, Alabama, where William is completing his residency. They are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of their lives surrounded by the people they love most and can’t wait to share this special moment.
