Wesley and Mackenzie grew up in the small town of Bogart, Georgia, just outside Athens, but their paths didn’t truly cross until middle school. They shared the same sixth‑grade homeroom, yet it wasn’t until eighth grade that they caught each other’s eye. When Wesley asked Mackenzie to be his girlfriend, they both knew it was going to be something special. From learning to drive together and graduating high school, to getting into their dream school, the University of Georgia, moving in together after graduating, and starting their first big girl/big boy jobs, they’ve celebrated every milestone side by side. While some say you have to date around to find “the one,” they believe God blessed them to get it right the first time. On May 3, 2025, at their favorite beach, Hilton Head Island, Wesley pulled off the biggest surprise by inviting both of their families to witness his proposal, making the moment even more special. After so many chapters already shared, they’re overjoyed to begin forever together.
