This won't come as a surprise to most, but we have already tied the knot! We had a small, intimate ceremony in the Pocono Mountains on 9/24/25 with just a few immediate family members. We still want to celebrate with everyone so we are hosting a bigger celebration on our one year anniversary, 9/24/26. If you are on this page you're invited! On this page you will find the address for the venue, a schedule, registry information, and FAQ's. Depending on when you are browsing the website, some of the pages may be blank while information is still being finalized. Be assured that all the information will be available by the time RSVP's are coming due. If you want to know more about Shane and Mackenzie, feel free to read our story below. We love and appreciate everyone in our lives and we can't wait to celebrate!
We met in 2020 as coworkers, navigating the chaos of restaurant life during COVID and finding humor and friendship in small shared moments between the rush. We lived through the worst of it together before life had even given us a fair shot at the best. Without realizing it, we were already becoming each other’s person. In the autumn of 2022, Shane started showing interest in becoming more than friends, unaware that I had expressed the same interest a year prior and was blind sighted that he had missed those cues. Unfortunately, I had just begun a journey of reclaiming my independence and asked for time and in true Shane fashion, he waited with understanding and patience. By the start of 2023, I was ready. Life became a two-player adventure from karaoke night, the spontaneous getaways, moving in together, and quiet evenings with Melba, who has made it quite clear that Shane is her favorite (rude). By early 2025, we began dreaming out loud about forever. We were quietly planning a wedding long before any of you knew we were engaged. (Patience is not my strong suit!) We went ring shopping in February, but our hearts were already committed and the venue was booked 2 weeks later. On May 4, 2025, Shane proposed. It was the perfect day. In the morning, we celebrated a delayed Easter and early Mother's Day with family, not to mention it was Star Wars Day which we only realized later. More deeply, it was also the anniversary of his mother's passing and the anniversary of my Pop-pop Dann’s passing. A day heavy with memory, that became transformed into one of light and promise. Despite knowing the ring was coming, he completely caught me by surprise with the proposal, but we were so excited to finally share the plans we had been orchestrating for the past few months. We continue to be excited to celebrate our love with all of you! Thank you for supporting us and know we invited each person thoughtfully. We want to be surrounded by those that have shaped us and who appreciate the people we've become. Our wedding is a symbol of not only two people joining in union, but the combination of two families. We are building our village and we are so thankful you are a part of it! -Mackenzie & Shane
