Mother of the Bride
We are so grateful for Sarah's help planning the wedding. Sarah is a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend! Sarah loves to get people together and have fun! Sarah's favorite way to spend her time is at Lake Quivira with her granddaughters Stella and Lucy.
Mother of the Groom
Martica is the mother of the groom. She is the most amazing mom Santiago could ever ask for. She taught Santiago how to love, how to listen and how to overcome every hard moment in life.
Father of the Bride
We are so grateful for Homer's help in planning this wedding! He has been a wonderful and supportive father since he came into Mackenzie's life over 15 years ago. Homer is an accomplished academic and professor, who was Dean of the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University for 11 years. Currently, Homer is teaching seniors and MBA students and enjoying life with his granddaughter Veera.
Father of the Groom
Alejandro is the father of the groom. He is a wonderful and committed father, always tender and willing to support even the most crazy ideas of Santiago.
Maid of Honor
It is such a delight to have Marie as maid of honor! She is the best friend a girl could ask for. Marie and Mackenzie met in Cali, Colombia. Currently, Marie is teaching 8th grade science in Seattle, Washington.
Best Man
Tomas is coming from Cali, Colombia to be the best man. Tomas has been Santiago's best friend since they were 5 years old in Colegio Aleman. He is a musician and has a honest heart and no filter to talk.
Flower Girl
Stella is Mackenzie's niece. She is a very friendly and funny girl who loves her dogs Samson and Barney. Stella is in first grade, she likes to play with LOL Dolls.
Bridesmaid
Sofia is Santiago's baby sister. She will be coming from Germany to be bridesmaid! She is the smartest mind in the family, always smiling and trying to be the best version of herself.
Usher
Lucy is Mackenzie's niece. Lucy is extremely creative and performs in local theater. Lucy is in 7th grade and sings in the school choir.
Officiant
Sam Weitman is the College & Young Adults Pastor at Doxology Bible Church where he works with his wife Helen Weitman who is Associate Residency Director. Sam and Helen met at Texas Christian University where they led outdoor trips with Mackenzie. Sam and Helen are proud parents to two little girls, Ellie and Charlotte.
