Always and Forever...

We First Met... **May 27, 2015 The day that will forever, and rightfully so, give Grant Bruner the title of “Hitch” (I still owe you a Buschel or two buddy). I was with a rowdy group of guys at Hooter’s that night and Grant was the manager. I hardly knew Grant at the time - which is now unthinkable as I recall all the crazy s*** we’ve done - but I begged for him to give my number to this insanely good looking red-head that I awkwardly tried to check out each time she walked by. Whether it was by luck or not (I know now that no, Mackenzie is just an AWFUL driver) Mackenzie had been issued a ticket by one of KCKPD’s finest and Grant told her to come to our table for advice. My words seemed to stumble out of my mouth as I talked to her - She admitted later that she didn’t even remember who I was... Lovely... - And I know all you hater’s are going to hate, but I knew from that moment, “Kenzie” was something special. The Proposal...**May 15, 2019 Mackenzie and her love of traveling.... She DEMANDED we take a trip to NYC for my 30th birthday (Don’t worry ya’ll, I can still hang with the college kids). She made the travel plans while I was coordinating locations with a photographer. You see, Mackenzie was always pestering me about getting couple photos taken. So, that was the ruse. Mackenzie stood in front of me, maybe 10 feet, as I pulled out the ring and got down on one knee. The photographer picked up on what was happening and got into position as I called out “Mackenzie”. She ignored me (shocker lol). Several more shouts later, she finally turned around, highly agitated. Bless her heart, she was so stunned that she didn’t hear a word I said. I remained on one knee, pants getting soaked and mud-stained, people all around us staring, and me having a panic attack as I thought “Oh no, she isnt’t going to say Yes!!??”. She stated “Well??”... I know, everyone, I was shocked as well. So after asking a second time (I mean, why not right?!?) She said “Yes!”
