Falzoi Wedding

Ryan and Mackenzie both grew up in Brevard County, FL but were merely surface level friends through high school and college. They had several mutual friends, and Ryan played rugby at the same club as Mackenzie’s youngest brother so their parents were already acquainted. After Ryan graduated from FSU, he returned to Brevard to live with a friend and begin work. At this time, Mackenzie was living in Jacksonville studying for her master’s degree. One of the first weekends of October 2022, Ryan and Mackenzie were invited out on the boat by their mutual friends planning to meet up at an island in the Indian River. The two hit it off and chatted for a while, leading to phone numbers exchanged that evening. This started a month of talking over the phone constantly while Mackenzie was in Jacksonville and Ryan in Brevard. Later that month was a halloween party where they were finally in person together at the same time. This kickstarted their relationship as they spent the evening chatting away and soon started dating after Ryan visited her in Jacksonville. Due to Ryan’s rotational position within his company, he was relocated to Rochester, NY only six months into dating. Thus began a year of long distance. Mackenzie and Ryan became Spirit Airlines most valuable customers as they were constantly flying back and forth. At the beginning of 2024, Ryan’s father became ill which led Ryan to spend several months at home helping to support his family. Mackenzie put her life on pause and was by their side through all of it, even when Ryan had to return to NY. She even showed up at midnight the night after her wisdom teeth surgery, ice packs and all. Ryan’s third rotation was a position in Colorado Springs, CO, and was eager for Mackenzie to come with. So he devised a proposal plan and, with the help of her friends and both families, they threw a surprise party for the books. Soon after the engaged couple set out with a U-Haul trailer and drove across the country to the Western front to start a life together. Soon after arriving, they found an amazing church and met great leaders in pre-marital counseling. Ryan and Mackenzie realized centering their relationship around Jesus was most important and wanted to live that out. On August 31st, 2024 they had a small ceremony and made a covenant with God as husband and wife. They are so excited to celebrate their union with all of their favorite people together, and for Mackenzie to become #FinallyaFalzoi.
