Some would say that it was fate the way that Quinton and MacKenzie met back in 2014. Both freshman at Hamline University, each studying different majors, they ended up briefly crossing paths in a biology lab. The following semester, 5 out of 6 classes were together, including being lab partners in biology. Suddenly, assignments that should’ve taken 30 minutes, took 2 hours and they were getting the best grades they’ve ever gotten! From then on, there was a gravitational pull between them and they became inseparable. They spent the next couple of years merging their friends, family, and lives together. After both graduating college in 2018, they spent their time together traveling, enjoying being young, and trying to figure out the real world. They got their first apartment together in 2019, so excited to make memories. Little did they know, a few months later, they would be confined to ONLY that 700 sq. foot apartment when COVID-19 hit. Talk about a relationship test! The next year, MacKenzie and Quinton took the leap into homeownership. A challenging yet extremely rewarding ongoing experience that showed them just how many Home Depot trips you can fit into one day. In 2022, Quinton popped the question (FINALLY!). To say that MacKenzie was surprised and extremely oblivious would be an understatement. They were over the moon to be taking this next step in their relationship. The next couple of years were filled with challenges and triumphs, from MacKenzie temporarily relocating to finish school to new jobs and new furry family members. Quinton and MacKenzie have came a long way in 10 years, each year bringing new adventures and lessons. One thing that has been consistent is their commitment and love for each other. They are so thrilled to embark on this next chapter of life as Mr. and Mrs. Garvis!
