Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a hotel block at the Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel (1110 Willow Road, Northbrook, IL 60062). When booking ask for the Haack/Kidder wedding to ensure the secured rate or use group code KI2662 when booking online. We know we will have lots of friends and family from out of town and we look forward to spending time and providing a quality place to stay!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The Sheraton hotel is within the same complex as the venue and shares a parking lot with the venue. Due to the close proximity, transportation might not be necessary for some as guests are able to walk from the hotel to the venue. For those concerned about an extended walk, no worries! Google maps says that the hotel is 900ft from the wedding venue. In addition, the hotel provides a shuttle for those who don’t want to walk over to the venue.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is the general vibe we would prefer, however what is most important to us is our guests comfort and enjoyment! That being said, feel free to dress however you feel confident and comfortable whether that be slightly more formal or slightly more casual than typical cocktail dress code. We are here to celebrate and have a good time!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be starting at 4:00pm. That being said we would recommend planning on arriving around 3:45 at the latest. That way pending any inconveniences that may cause you to run late (as the bride and groom are notoriously known for) you won’t miss any of the action! In addition, if you would prefer to arrive even earlier, the venue has a bar area where guests are more than welcome to meet and begin celebrating early.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We know many of our guests have important little ones in their lives that we love however we are wanting to give parents and ourselves a child free night to enjoy and celebrate. Because of this, only children in the wedding party (flower girls, junior bridesmaids, ring bearer, etc.) will be allowed. We are aware that many guests will be traveling which may make child care an additional struggle. If this is the case, feel free to reach out and let us know. We are more than happy to help find childcare to assist at the hotel during the wedding if it is easiest to travel with your little one and have someone care for them here. Ultimately, we want everyone to do what is best for their family and know we have a special place in our hearts for each member.
