Travel

Whidbey Island Accessible by driving or by ferry boat, Whidbey Island can be accessed from the North (Anacortes) or the South (Mukilteo). Driving to the island via Deception Pass provides dramatic views and gorgeous scenery. Taking a classic Washington ferry boat from Mukilteo to Clinton provides a wholly unique experience embracing the island spirit. Cars are recommended to get to the island and for driving around the island. Lodging options include hotels, bed-and-breakfasts, camping, cabins, and home rentals. If schedules and time allow, we'd love for our guests to stay with us on the island for the weekend (Friday - Sunday). As our wedding will be located in Freeland, great areas to look for lodging include Freeland, Clinton, Langley, Greenbank or Coupeville.

Flight

Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA-TAC)

SEA-TAC is the largest airport near Whidbey Island. If you fly into SEA-TAC, a car rental would be recommended to either drive onto Whidbey by way of Deception Pass, or by taking the ferry onto the island.

Flight

Bellingham International Airport (BLI)

A smaller airport, BLI has direct flights from Seattle, Portland, and several other West coast cities. If you fly into BLI, car rental is recommended and Whidbey Island can be accessed via Deception Pass.

House Or Rental

Home Rentals

Home rentals are recommended as a lodging option for guests. For weekend-long celebrations, we hope friends and family can stay together in larger groups in some of the island's many vacation rentals. Check Airbnb or VRBO for options.
