FAQs

Question

What should we do in between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There is an hour and a half between the wedding ceremony and reception. Use this time to freshen up at your hotel, catch up with friends and family, or if you'd like, there are plenty of fun places along Broadway to enjoy! I'd recommend grabbing a drink at the Pigpen, Cottage Irish Pub, Postinos, or Backyard on Broadway. You can check out the Pearl down the road; there are plenty of cute photo opportunities and places to grab a bite to eat there. Don't go too crazy, we'll have plenty of food and drinks at the reception :)

Question

Will there be parking at the church and the Witte Museum?

Answer

Yes, there is a plenty of parking at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. There are no parking fees or towing enforced. The Witte has a parking garage we can all use for free. The exit from the garage leads to the front of the Family Dawson Center, where the reception will take place at the Witte Museum.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal attire is recommended. Guests are asked to abstain from wearing casual clothing such as jeans. We kindly remind women not to wear a white dress.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be indoors at Our Lady of Grace church. The reception will also be indoors at the Witte Museum, but the cocktail hour will be outside in a courtyard that we'll have access to the whole night if you need some fresh air.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We will be having an adults-only wedding ceremony and reception. Children over the age of 13 are welcome to join in the fun of our special day.

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

We are happy to accommodate all dietary restrictions. Please contact Matt or Mackenzie with any dietary restrictions so we can work with our caterer.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

We ask that everyone please put their phones and cameras away and enjoy an unplugged ceremony. Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church is a holy place, so please be mindful and put your phones on silent during the ceremony. After the ceremony, we would love for everyone to take photos and share them!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your invite for your +1! Unfortunately, we can not accommodate every guest to have a +1. I hope everyone is able to understand. Please text or call Matt or Mackenzie if you have any questions.
