For the comfort and health of our bride, we kindly request that guests refrain from smoking at our wedding venue. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Our story began on November 7, 2019, during what seemed like an ordinary FaceTime call. Mackenzie was working on her Spanish homework, practicing the words out loud, while Marshal kept interrupting to ask what each word meant. At first it was fun and lighthearted, but eventually she laughed (and maybe got a little frustrated) and told him to just look it up so she could keep studying. Not long after, Marshal turned the tables and said something in Spanish that Mackenzie didn’t understand. When she asked what it meant, he smiled and told her to look it up. What she found made her heart skip a beat: “¿Quieres ser mi novia?” (Do you want to be my girlfriend?) That simple question, spoken in another language, marked the beginning of us. Exactly six years later, on November 7, 2025, Marshal brought Mackenzie to our favorite place in the world—Lake of the Woods. After spending time together there, he handed her a card and asked her to read it. When she finished and turned around to hug him, he got down on one knee. In the same language that started our love story, he asked: “¿Quieres casarte conmigo?” (Will you marry me?) From a FaceTime call and a Spanish assignment to a lifelong commitment, our story has always been about intention, laughter, and love. We are so grateful for where we began and even more excited for everything ahead as we start this next chapter together.
