FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 2:30PM. We will board the train and depart promptly at 3:00PM. There will be no other transportation to the ceremony — if you miss the train, you will miss the ceremony.

Question

Is The Wedding Indoors Or Outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding will begin with an outdoor train ride for all guests to the top of Bear Mountain. After the outdoor ceremony, guests will board the train for the ride back down to the station. The cocktail hour will take place outside the reception hall, and the remainder of the wedding will be held indoors.

Question

Where will the ceremony and reception be taking place?

Answer

All events from 2:30PM to 10:00PM will be held at Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton, CA.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail or semi-formal attire. The ceremony includes a train ride and a short standing ceremony, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Roaring Camp Railroads. Please mention at the gate that you are attending the wedding to receive free parking. Guests with mobility issues may be dropped off closer to the hall and will be directed by the parking attendant.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

When you search your name on our Zola RSVP page, you’ll see all the names included in your invitation. You can RSVP for everyone in your party at once.

Question

Are there accommodations nearby?

Answer

Yes, there are several hotels within a 15–20 minute drive of the venue. Our room block is at Four Points by Sheraton Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley. You will be routed to the Marriott website where you can book the Conklin/Baker rate. Cotillion Garden, located two miles from the venue, offers an RV camping option. We have multiple options listed on the accommodations page, so feel free to choose the one that best suits your needs.
