Marah has been my partner in crime and best friend for 10 years. Back in the buckle days in Ames Marah and I sure lived it up. Now Marah lives in Houston with her husband Antjuan and we prove that distance can’t keep us apart. Marah is a come as you are type of friend and her family has taken me in like I am one Nagel’s. I was honored to stand up next to Marah on her big day as her Maid of Honor and now I am blessed to have her do the same for me.

Destinee Johnson

I didn’t get to choose this one as my sister in law… but I did get to choose her as one of my very best friends. Destinee is the sister I never had and I am so incredibly grateful to have her. She is always there when I need her and I can always trust her to be 1000% honest with me even if it’s not what I want to hear. Destinee deserves all the kudos for putting up with the Johnson bunch… and she does it well.

Dylan Nielsen-Banda

Dylan is the sweetest friend a girl could ever ask for. He is always down for a good time, but he can also have a killer heart to heart. Dylan is not one to judge and is the most understanding soul I’ve ever met. Dylan has played a huge part in the behind the scenes of the wedding planning process. Justin and I will never be able to thank him enough.

Dallas is the friend that keeps me calm and organized. She has been there through a TON over the past ten years. She is so supportive of Justin and I both personally and professionally. I met Dallas at the Buckle back in my college days and since then we have had lots and lots of slumber parties and we always find a way to make it to brunch.

Tessa is Justin’s cousin and she has always had a special place in our hearts. When she was younger (and we were still cool) we would take her camping, to the pumpkin patch, Starbucks and we always had the best time. Tessa got to be the photographer and videographer behind the camera for the proposal. So special. We cannot wait to have Tessa be a part of our big day.

Alec Striegel

Best Man

Alec and I met through my little brother (cousin) Ryan. Oddly enough, Alec is Ryan’s brother in law. I had heard about him and just knew that we would be great friends. Alec has been the best friend a guy could ever ask for. Not judgmental just a true man’s man and a real gentleman. Kenzie and I also know we can always count on him to help out with projects around the house or on the vehicles. I can’t wait to have Alec stand next to me on the day I say “I do”

I met Brent while doing inside sales for Windsor Windows I had an opportunity to get a different territory and Brent worked for one of my distributors. We became quick friends like we’d known each other for years! Brent lives South of KC but we don’t let the distance get in our way, we talk pretty much everyday. Brent always offers great advice and I can always count on him for a good conversation. I’m blessed to have Brent with me in all walks of my life.

Ryan Farnsworth

Ryan is the little brother I never had. We’ve been close since we were kids. Years ago we were both shift managers at Hy-Vee and I can recall countless times when we would get off at 12:30 in the morning and go to Perkins for some breakfast. Sometimes we would even end up at Mistake Lake Casino (Mystic Lake) in Prior Lake Minnesota. We would gamble for a couple hours and go home, sleep the next day and go to work that night. Ryan and I have nice great talks and even better times. I can always count on Ryan when I need him. We’ve been through a lot together and sometimes we fight like brothers. I couldn’t imagine Ryan not being apart of our wedding. It’s been wonderful seeing Ryan become a dad and a husband.

Kyle Johnson

When I met MacKenzie not only did she come with two dogs but she also had two brothers, one being Kyle. Kyle and I have gotten close over the last 5 years. From taking last minute road trips to different states for a piece of equipment he needed or wanted while jamming out to old tunes together to just hanging out in the shop I know I’m always in for a good time with Kyle. I can’t wait for Kyle to officially be my brother. Couldn’t ask for better brother in laws.

Cole Johnson

Cole is the second brother of MacKenzie. I have great memories of hanging out in the shop watching Cole wrench on anything and everything. He’s always down for a good time and though he might appear tough I’ve learned watching him be an uncle to Mason has sure has a big heart. He’s a great brother in law and would do anything he could for you. Guy can fix or build literally anything.

Vinny Nielsen-Banda

This one here is the life of the party. If I’m in trouble I was probably with Vinny! Funny story about how Vinny was chosen to be our officiant. Justin and I were driving to Fort Dodge to visit family and we were chatting about who we would have marry us. We talked about how it didn’t feel right for it to just be anyone. After a few minutes of brainstorming in silence we both said VINNY at the same time and that’s when we knew it was meant to be. Justin and I are so excited to have you be a very important part of our day. Sorry you couldn’t be the flower girl.

Erin Klang

Personal Attendant

Back in 2014 Erin was my manager at US Cellular. Now she is one of my very good friends. All these years later Erin and I reconnected and now work together again. Erin’s husband and boys are the sweetest and Justin and I both love spending weekends with them at Cuttys campground. Erin is often the glue that keeps me together and I knew she would be the best fit for my personal attendant.

Flower Girl

Where do I even begin. This girl is my absolute favorite human. Justin and I are so proud to be her Auntie Kenzie and Uncle J-Boner. Mason is so special to us. The sass and spunk this girl has often leaves me speechless. Camping, golfing (riding the golf cart) and swimming are our favorite things to do. We keep Mason for the weekend anytime we can and we are always so thankful we are able to create memories with that we will never forget. We are so excited to see Mason dressed up as the flower girl on wedding day.
