They met briefly in the Virgin Islands during a TDY. It was the end of the trip when they watched most of their people safely take off in a KC-135 back home. When it was their turn to board their C-17 to follow, it mysteriously broke down... They were forced back to the resort they were staying in, but nobody had access to laundry services. After many inquiries in the TDY group chat about how to get laundry done, Jory replied, “I did that shit in the sink!” Curious and laughing, Kenzie reached out to him for help. He actually did do that shit in the sink... From then on, they were inseparable. They spent every waking moment together, talking about life, learning about each other, and drinking pineapple rum-ritas and beers by the beach. They even had some near-death experiences on this trip which just brought them even closer together. When they got home after being trapped on a resort island for 5 days together, Jory knew he was in love, and Kenzie found peace in a place she never imagined. Beauty and the Beast are getting married!
