RSVP at your earliest convenience and at latest before September ends.

Question

Answer

A formal lunch will be had at the Fireside Grille with light live music and some sweet sentimental moments: father-daughter & mother-son dances, couples first dance, speeches, and quality time together. We look forward to hosting you!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Children are encouraged! This is a family, Church, wedding and we would love to see all our loved ones regardless of age.

Question

Can I have a plus one?

Answer

Due to size constraints of the Fireside we cannot add additional people to our guest list unfortunately, but everyone is welcome to the Mass!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Sunday best, wear what makes you feel comfortable and beautiful, remembering to honor the presence of God in the Mass.

Question

What will the Mass be like?

Answer

Please arrive early as we hope to begin promptly at 11. While in the church please maintain a reverent silence and no phones, instead we ask you to please pray for our marriage. Marriage is the only Sacrament of the Church the recipients are also the ministers of and as such John and Kenzie have elected to process in together. The Mass has two major components: Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Eucharist as well as music throughout. We encourage you to sing! No matter your level of ability we hope to fill the Church with love and song, so please join in. Liturgy of the Word will contain readings from Scripture on the Sacrament of Matrimony. Liturgy of the Eucharist will contain the consecration of the Eucharist. As Catholics we believe the Eucharist is the real Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ and as such request wedding guests observe proper reverence. * Catholics in the state of grace are invited to receive Jesus in the Eucharist at this time. * For those seeking confession before receiving the Eucharist, St. Thomas Aquinas Church offers the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the lower church on Saturday mornings 9:45-10:30. * For non-Catholics we desire deeply to be in Communion with you in the Body of Christ but in absence of the proper sacramental prep invite you to instead enter the Communion line with arms crossed like an X over your chest to instead receive a blessing. For more guidance on the Eucharist please read here: Following Mass please exit out the back where John and Kenzie will greet you and thank you in a receiving line. **Students and immediate family members, please hang back for photos at the Church!

Question

What's next for you two?

Answer

After the wedding John and Kenzie will be living and working as teachers in Boston.
