This distillery is known for their Gin, but the scenery and it's story are equally as amazing! Make sure to book a tour in advance if you'd like to see the inner workings of how their spirits are made (and to get a taste-test).
The Kentucky Horse Park makes a wonderful half-day trip to learn about how important horses are to the state! See and learn about different breeds in action, interact with Hall-of-Fame Thoroughbred racehorses, walk the grounds and see Clydesdales and the Mounted Police horses, or enjoy the International Museum of the Horse! The KHP holds a special place in Mackenzie's heart; she has been showing horses there from a young age and even worked in the Visitor's Center for a summer. :)
Open 8:00am-2:00pm every Saturday from April-October. There are many local vendors selling fresh produce, flowers, honey, cheeses, and so much more!
Every Thursday night from 5:00-8:00pm, April-October, people will gather under the 5/3 Bank Pavilion to enjoy live music, drinks, and many additional vendors!
This is a very cute market/restaurant selling local goods and freshly made (very tasty) hot food, baked goods, and even homemade ice cream! The drive to get here is gorgeous - you will pass by many historic horse farms on beautiful two-lane roads, and it is even located in between three farms.
