We can't wait to celebrate with you!

March 2020 was a month which started great change for everyone and we are not an exception. While the world was starting to go into a shutdown, we were first sparking a connection on "Hinge". Although we both were experiencing uncertainty about our jobs, schooling, and the world around us at this time, we were certain that we were interested in each other. The two of us dated through facetime dates and lots of texting while we were hunkering down in our respective hometowns (Holland, MI & Bowling Green, OH - almost 250 miles apart). It wasn't until July 2020 that we finally got to go on our first, long-anticipated in person date! Our first date involved a picnic at the beach, a trip to Hamtramck's bakery famous for paczkis, and a coney dinner from the superior Detroit coney diner (Lafayette, obviously). From there, our relationship continue to develop with many dates involving cooking together, visits to the Detroit Institute of Art (DIA), and walks around downtown Detroit. It was one year later in July 2021 that Isaac sealed the deal and proposed at our friend's family cottage in Northern Michigan; but, of course, not until after scaring Mackenzie with the threat of a silverfish (the most gross bug/monster ever, take my word for it and don't google it!) spotted on the dock. It had only been a little over a year since our first in person date but it felt like we had been waiting a lifetime to start the rest of our life together! We cannot wait to have all of our friends and family with us on October 15, 2022 when we will finally get married in the city where we fell in love.
