"Gabe had a business trip to Chicago, Illinois planned for a week. I decided I would come along with him a few weeks prior. Near the end of our trip, Gabe said he wanted to take me to Olive Park so we could take pictures of the gorgeous skyline. When we got there, we walked through the park and I was snapping pictures and taking videos. He walked me over to this specific spot where I saw a heart of rose petals laid out. I thought someone else had put those there... but little did I know, they were for me! As I stopped to take a picture of the heart, I looked over to see Gabe getting down on his knee. Gabe and I met on a random night - one of my first at Mercer. I decided to meet my roommate, Julia, at her friends' place, where Gabe happened to be that night. My roommate, myself, and a few others (Gabe included) became inseparable during those first few weeks of college. We spent almost every night we could together - all seven of us. Gabe actually wasn't a MacK fan in the beginning because my way of flirting consisted of making fun of him almost all the time. But one night, Gabe was laying down on the pool table, tossing a pool ball back and forth, and I thought it would be a GREAT idea to toss one at him without him looking and bonked him on the head. Gabe shot up immediately and I swore he was going to kill me, so I hugged him as tight as I could while apologizing profusely. After this, I stopped making fun of him and started actually being nice to him (LOL). We realized then that we actually liked each other, and became really good friends! After a while, we both admitted that something was flourishing between us (me before Gabe, truthfully) and after a longer while, decided to make it official!!!
