We're getting married, get ready to party!!!

David and I met through our mutual friend, Aiden, when he introduced us at one of our college’s football games. (Go pack!) After the game ended, we all packed into my tiny car and drove up the road to a Bojangles for an after-game snack. David was in the front seat, and had to scoot his chair all the way up so people could fit - his knees were crushed against the dashboard. He didn’t care or complain, I knew then that he was patient and calm (and cute). I’ll spare you the corny details, but about a month or so later we started dating! Fast forward a little over 4.5 years and 2 cats later and here we still are. A lot of people like to touch on their “high highs and low lows” but for us, the latter simply never came. It’s been real fun so far, but we can’t wait to see our forever unfold!

David and I had gone on a trip to California with friends and were staying with his aunt and uncle. I suggested that we should have a date night to ourselves while on the trip. Little did I know, the main focus of the trip was David's proposal to me, so it wasn't really my idea after all. He set a reservation at a restaurant beside the San Francisco Bay and we enjoyed a great meal. After, he took me to a quaint beach overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. We stood and talked for a bit, and at one point I looked out towards the water. When I turned back, my eyes met a nervous David on one knee (of course I had to add the detail of him being nervous, hehe). Of course I said yes, and when we got back, his family had thrown us an engagement party where we ate delicious cake, drank some champagne, and celebrated!
