In 2021, as the world was slowly reopening, Chris and Kenzie found each other on Bumble. Kenzie swiped right because Chris had a cat in his profile picture, clearly a man with priorities. That cat, Bellatrix, now sleeps between them every night, a tiny matchmaker. After a few weeks of texting every day, they went on their first date at a cozy wine-and-pizza bar. The night ended with Chris’s car accidentally locked inside a parking garage, a fitting start to a relationship that would include plenty of unexpected adventures. But Kenzie knew he was special even before that, because when Chris picked her up, he remembered how much she loves blasting the A/C. His car was absolutely freezing… and she loved it. They spent that summer going on endless dates, and by autumn, they fell in love (pun fully intended). That Christmas, life threw them an unexpected twist when they both got COVID and had to quarantine together at Chris’s apartment. Two straight weeks with every moment together made them more certain they were meant for each other. Nine months into dating, Kenzie finally brought Chris to her favorite place in the world: Disneyland. After that first trip, it became their favorite getaway. Visit after visit, they would walk into Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and dream about what it would be like to get married there. Getting to celebrate their wedding here truly feels like a dream come true. After their first year together, they spent the next summer moving in and blending their cat family. The years that followed were filled with building a home, building traditions, and building a life they both love.
