Casey and I were both lucky enough to grow up in beautiful Waterford, Connecticut. We met on an exchange trip to Italy during our third year of high school. We danced in discos, we got lost in cities, and he helped me finish my Pre-Calc homework. We remained friends upon our return including study hall, porch parties at Barb's, and skydiving together in Newport. Life changed when we came to the realization we were both going to college in Maine. We quickly fell in love with the state, the food, and each other. We give credit to Scorpion Bowls at Lucky Inn Wok for giving me the courage to kiss him, and Casey's 1998 Volvo (R.I.P) for the hours traveled to be by each others side. Fast forward seven years and you'll find us dancing in our kitchen at our house in Salem with our daughter, Madeline and dog, Penelope. Life is good.

After a whirlwind of a week of Thanksgiving festivities, Christmas tree searching, and a deer hunting excursion that found MacKenzie's father in the hospital, a quiet Monday night proposal occurred. A sleep deprived MacKenzie came running into then, two month old Madeline's nursery, after she was called for diaper "back-up." Much to her surprise, there was in deed no dirty diaper, just Casey on one knee asking for her hand in marriage. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
