Who would have thought that becoming friends during our first year at Texas A&M would one day lead us here? From game days, to meal swipes at Rev’s, and dancing the night away at Harry’s – our friend group did it all together our freshman year. As classes became more discipline focused and academic clubs brought new friends, our freshman year crew dissolved, and we thrived individually in the years after. It wasn’t until graduation had come and gone, new careers began, and the whole “adulting” thing started to feel very real, that we rekindled a friendship that once was. A mutual friend had reached out to me, MacKenzie, to hang out with “the boys”. I will never forget the first time we spent time together again and “re-met.” From that day forward, we became inseparable. Over the next few weeks, we got to know the “new,” more mature versions of ourselves and grew closer each day. Just two incredible months later, we were officially together, and the rest was history. Even now, it feels surreal to think about how we arrived here today. We are beyond grateful that God guided us back to one another and are so excited to begin this beautiful next chapter of our lives together.
