It was the end of June, a hot summer day on Union Lake. Mackenzie and her girlfriends were enjoying the day, embracing the “hot girl summer”. On the other side of the sandbar, Brandon was hanging out with his buddies. The girls decided to make their rounds around the sandbar, and crossed paths with Brandon and his crew. Thanks to mutual connections, conversation flowed effortlessly. Brandon, ever the charmer, offered Mackenzie some tequila from his bottle. But when Mackenzie took a quick look and saw it was a little, well, *backwashed*, she politely declined (typical). Thankfully Brandon didn’t take offense. Despite the lighthearted moment, their chemistry was undeniable, even sharing a spontaneous kiss before parting ways. That night, Brandon told his sister-in-law, Alyssa, all about the “cool girl” he’d met. Determined, he spent the next few months winning her over, gaining her trust bit by bit. Before they knew it, their connection had grown into something real. And just like that, the rest was history!

Brandon planned the ultimate surprise for Mackenzie during his 30th birthday trip to Cabo. While the trip was supposed to be all about him, he had something special up his sleeve. As they were surrounded by their closest friends, a photographer and violinist suddenly appeared. With music filling the air, Brandon got down on one knee, catching her completely off guard.
