We met on a cruise to Alaska! We were both on the Carnival Legend going to explore Alaska with our families. My family had this cruise booked for 2020 but covid changed the plans for us, and it wasn't rescheduled until 2025! Ben's parents had originally booked their trip for just the two of them to celebrate their anniversary, but invited Ben and his brother to make it a family vacation! Although meeting on a cruise and falling in love is already rare enough, the circumstances of how we ended up there make it even cooler! We officially met with only 3 days left in the trip when Ben finally came and introduced himself to me at the comedy club (shoutout to my sister for leaving me to sit alone because she wanted to go to bed). We spent the rest of the night chatting in the little cruise bar and made plans to see each other the next day. Everything seemed too good to be true, until I learned he was a Cowboys fan... I spent the whole next day figuring out how I was going to tell my dad that this perfect man I met was a Cowboys fan. Obviously we got past that and continued to spend intentional time getting to know each other the rest of the cruise. When the trip came to an end, we said our final goodbye in the airport and headed home to different states and different time zones, but thankfully our story was just beginning!
