We met in New York City on a night out! The following night, we went on our first date to a bar called Mother's Ruin in SOHO. We had an amazing time but Joel was leaving the following morning back to England so we didn't think too much about it. However, we messaged each other every day and soon had our "weekly chats" (3+ hour phone calls every Sunday). Next thing you know, eight weeks later, Joel was back to visit. The rest is history ;)

We climbed up Oxford Castle's Mound after hours (rebels, I know) to watch the sunset. I took a video on my phone of the sunset and then turned it to "selfie view". Joel insisted I do it again, and when I turned it to selfie view that time, Joel had the ring box open and then got down on one knee! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Oxford, where it all became official!
