Things To Do
Virginia Creeper National Recreation Trail
A 34.3 mile rail-to-recreation trail running from Abingdon to Whitetop, VA. The trail is well known for intersecting with the Appalachian Trail at several points. Locals and visitors enjoy walking, running, and biking the trail.
The Tavern
Also known as the oldest building in Abingdon. This is our favorite upscale dining restaurant. We both highly recommend the stuffed filet.
Barter Theatre
One of Abingdon's legendary landmarks offering a variety of musicals. The theatre opened in 1933 and is now the State Theatre of Virginia. Tickets start at $20 and is a must do when in town.
White Birch Food and Juice
Local restaurant serving farm fresh ingredients from our community. This is one of our favorite brunch spots. The cold-press juices are a huge plus.
Wolf Hills Brewing Co.
Local brewery serving delicious hand-crafted brews, along with local art on display, and a packed line-up of live music. You will often find food trucks parked here with some of the best cuisine.
Bonefire Smokehouse BBQ
Smokehouse serving a variety of smoked meats and homemade, country dishes. This restaurant offers a sauce bar full of original recipes.
Lumac Rooftop Bar
Bristol's first rooftop bar offering unique handcrafted cocktails and live music on select nights. Mack's favorite includes an old fashioned while Kayla loves the sangria rosé.
Bristol Station Brewery & Pub
One of our favorite taprooms in downtown Bristol brewing a variety of beer. We love playing SINGO (musical Bingo) on Friday nights. Several breweries located nearby include: Elderbrew, State Street Brewing, and Studio Brew.
Burger Bar
Classic diner serving the best burgers and milkshakes. Kayla swears by the cookies & cream shake.
Bloom Cafe and Listening Room
Cozy coffee shop located on downtown State Street. We both love the breakfast menu and the wide selection of coffee. This cafe also offers vegetarian and gluten free options.
Blackbird Bakery
Bristol's old fashioned bakery serving made from scratch desserts. Doughnuts, cheesecake, cookies, truffles- you name it, they have it.
The Channels
A hike you do not want to miss. The Great Channels of Virginia are a maze of 400 million year old sandstone blocks with crevices that you are able to walk through and explore. Some of our other favorite hikes include: Molly's Knob, Grayson Highlands, and Abrams Falls.
Pal's Sudden Services
Well known for it's signature building. Pal's is a fast food restaurant specific to Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennesse. You could not go wrong with anything on the menu; however, we both recommend the big pal and frenchie fries.
The Pinnacle
Large shopping center located in Bristol, TN offering a variety of retail stores, restaurants, and a movie theater. The restaurant Aubrey's, located here, holds a special place in our hearts (first date and engagement celebration).
