FAQs

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes, if not, then please do not bring someone with you.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Although we love kids, only immediate family members are aloud to bring their children to the wedding.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi formal: Part of dressing for a semiformal or dressy casual wedding is taking the time of the wedding into account. Wear darker, more formal colors for an evening wedding; opt for light colors and fabrics for a daytime event. Try a below-the-knee dress or a dressy skirt and top. An elegant pantsuit is also appropriate. Floor-length gowns, however, would be inappropriate. Pair with heels, nice wedges, or formal flats. The ceremony is being held outdoors and you'll be walking across a lawn, avoid traditional heels that will likely get stuck in the grass. Men should wear a dress shirt and slacks, dark or light depending on the time of day, with the option to wear a tie.

Question

Is there a shuttle to and from hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

There is a shuttle available on the Mountain Top Inn and Resort property ONLY. If you decide to go with lodging outside of the property; you are responsible for transportation to and from the property.

Question

Are there rooms blocked for guests?

Answer

We do have a variety of room blocked off at the Mountain Top Inn and Resort. These include classic style rooms, luxury, and a suite. We also have rented a few houses for those who would like to lodge together (families, or friend groups). Once you put a deposit down and secure your room or house; you are responsible for payment. Call in to 802.483.2311 and reference the Damato McCaughey wedding to see what types of rooms are available on our room block. Rooms are first come first serve. You can view the rooms on the Mountain Top Inn and Resort website - https://mountaintopinn.com/accommodations/ to view different room styles to see what best suites you or whomever you are attending with.

Question

Where can we eat outside of the wedding day?

Answer

The surrounding towns - Woodstock and Rutland have a lot of different options for dining. The Mountain Top Inn also has a Tavern (pub style food) and restaurant with delicious food on site. There is a breakfast on site but only runs from 7:30am-10:30am. If you rent a house and choose to make your own food, there are full sized kitchens available for you to cook and store food. For additional suggestions, the inn will have plenty of information on additional options should you wish to dine offsite.
