FAQs

While most of our information is contained in our website, including our favorite St. Louis recommendations and travel help, here are some frequently asked questions!
Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The vibe we're going for is garden tea party! Our colors include all sorts of pastels with an emphasis on pink, orange, yellow, and green. It's summer, so please plan on wearing something lightweight. We believe that you shouldn't have to buy new clothes for an event (or ever, catch us at the thrift store). Please do not feel obligated to buy a new outfit for the occassion! Or if you do buy something new, make sure it is something you'll wear again.

Question

Wait, it's in the morning?

Answer

Yes, if you know us, we are not party animals. Our wedding will take place during the day and we'll provide brunch, and then we will take pictures in the afternoon. This gives you time to explore St. Louis, attend our other wedding events, or get home for the rest of your weekend!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we adore your children, we have elected to have an adults only ceremony and reception. Please review your RSVP to see who is included in your invited party. Children may be present at the family dinner the night before.

Question

Are there any other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

We are having a dinner with our family the evening before and drinks with our friends later in the evening! Please see the schedule tab for details. Our events do have size limitations, so please refer to your RSVP for what events you are invited to attend.

Question

Will there be alcohol at the reception?

Answer

With a daytime wedding and two other events that alcohol will be present at, we are electing to have a dry wedding. This is so we can be present with the people we love most. Please do not bring your own alcohol, as it is against venue policy.

Question

Where is your wedding venue? How do I get there?

Answer

Our venue is located in the beautiful Lafayette Park neighborhood. There is plenty of space to park cars, free of charge. Our ceremony and reception are in the same venue, so no worry about traveling quickly between multiple venues.

Question

I have another question. What do I do?

Answer

We are planning this wedding ourselves! If you're invited, you should have a way to reach us (text, Facebook Messenger). Just shoot us a message there and we'll be happy to answer. If it's complicated, we'll probably answer over a phone call!
