Macie and Cam met through family and friends for the first time in 2019. Actually, Macie's maid of honor Katrina is Cam's first cousin. The two met for the first time when Cam was living with Peter (Also his cousin and Katrina's brother – are you confused yet?). Fast forward to 2020: After a year of crossing paths at family functions, a visit to see Katrina in Green Bay sealed the deal — a crush had officially formed. Cam finally asked Macie on a proper date to Athena in Chicago’s Greektown. From there, we have been going on dates every week since. In the beginning, we had to get creative with COVID-friendly dates during a Chicago winter. We ate multiple dinners in igloos, went axe throwing and Cam even took Macie skiing for the first time (and even taught her how to ski himself, although that part is a touchy subject). Since then, we’ve been exploring Chicago, eating our way through new restaurants, cheering on the Cubs, and traveling all over the US to over 20 weddings together in just three years. Now, it’s finally our turn — and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of the people we love most!
