We met at CBU in class, we were in the same group but never really talked. I figured I would never see Chris again since I was graduating, but then a few months later Chris started working at the same site I was at. We worked on cases together, then became friends, and eventually started dating.
Chris meant to propose during a Christmas lights tour because he knows how much I love them... but he accidentally booked it for the wrong night. So instead of twinkling lights, we walked around Julian. I had a hunch he was looking for a spot to propose, but it was getting darker and we had a dinner reservation. Before we left, Chris secretly called the restaurant, and let them know plans had changed and he’d be proposing there instead. When we got there, they sat us by the fireplace, with flowers and champagne already on the table…and that’s when I knew for sure. Our server was the best accomplice to Chris. She brought out dessert with the ring box next to it on the plate. Not the original plan, but honestly, it was perfect. Cozy, sweet, and very us. Shoutout to Jeremy’s on the Hill. 🫶🏽
