Wade and I both went to The University of Alabama, but he was a senior when I was a freshman so I had no idea he even existed until I met him after college. Two of my best high school friends, Kaitie and Kaley, invited me last minute to go to Montgomery (Wade's hometown) for an annual Christmas party, and our friend Holly's birthday. I decided to go, and met Wade in passing at the Christmas party. The next day I couldn't stop talking about how cute I thought he was, and soon came to find out that he thought the same about me. I live in Birmingham, and Wade just so happened to also be living in Birmingham while attending Law School at Cumberland. A couple days after the party, I got a Facebook message from him reintroducing himself and asking if I would be interested in going on a date. We exchanged numbers, and the rest is history! ♥ Fast forward a few years...on Friday, October 4, 2019, Wade told me we were going to dinner at The Club with another one of our couple friends. We had to make a “work” stop on the way, which really turned out to be a breathtaking, romantic view on top of a mountain in Highland Park overlooking all of Birmingham. Wade got down on one knee and popped the question! I said yes, and then we went to a big surprise after party at Cahaba Brewery with all of our best friends and family to celebrate. Hands down the best day yet!
