In June 2022, a simple swipe on Tinder led to an unexpected connection. They matched and started chatting, quickly getting into a routine of daily phone calls, often while Rubi took her morning walks. After three months of conversation, they finally decided to meet in person. Their first date was dinner and drinks at Gentle Ben's and a walk to Espresso Art Cafe, where they shared a hookah and got to know each other a little better. Not wanting to end the night there, Maci invited Rubi to join her and her friends at Whiskey Roads. The chemistry was undeniable, and the next day, they made plans to see each other again before Rubi headed back to Phoenix. A few days later, Maci decided to drive up to Phoenix to meet up with Rubi. As they went on a few more dates, they both felt hesitant about committing, unsure of taking that next step. After a short break, fate stepped in when they unexpectedly bumped into each other while running errands. That encounter made them realize how much they missed one another. From that point on, they decided to give their relationship a real shot. In September 2023, they made it official and have been inseparable ever since. Maci decided to take the next step and propose to Rubi in May 2024. Together, they love going to Mercury, Suns, and Diamondbacks games, exploring new restaurants and bars, taking trips, and creating memorable experiences with their families and friends.
