Macinna and Alex met on a Friday evening in September of 2018. They had known of each other growing up in the same area, but had never really crossed paths until this fall afternoon. Shortly after, they began messaging and discovered to their surprise (and excitement) that they were actually in a mutual nursing class at Southern Adventist University. Macinna and Alex began to study (a lot) together for their class and went on their first date soon after which was a hit! Read on to hear the rest of their story!

After Christmas and some traveling, Alex worked up the courage to ask Macinna to be his girlfriend. During a fun date in downtown Chattanooga, Alex was able to surprise Macinna by asking her to be his girlfriend on the Walnut Street Bridge after a delightful meal at Tony's Pasta Shop. They were now official! (We highly recommend the mushroom ravioli)

Alex involved close friends and family to help make this day a success. He surprised Macinna by popping the question on Stringers Ridge in Chattanooga on a sunny January afternoon. She enthusiastically said yes and a few minutes later was surprised by both families who were hiding nearby! Check out the photos in the photo section to see her reaction!
